With the opportunity to work in an environment that fosters strong workplace relationships and teamwork, your new position as part-time Load Control Officer will see you coordinating and producing all loading, weight and balance documentation in accordance with Company and Client airline specifications. Located within Ground Operations, this role will ensure the safe distribution of aircraft load within prescribed aircraft limitations and Company Operating Manuals/ Procedures.

You will be responsible for:
  • Planning, coordinating and producing all loading, weight and balance documentation in accordance with Company and Client airline specifications, with or without the use of the Departure Control System;
  • Ensuring the safe distribution of load within prescribed aircraft limitations and Company Operating Manuals/ Procedures;
  • Monitoring the performance of the departure control system;
  • Complying with all relevant CASA regulatory requirements; and
  • Co-ordinating and communicating with relevant departments (freight / engineering / airports) to ensure smooth handling of passengers.
To be successful in this role you will display:
  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent;
  • Extensive background in all areas of airport operations;
  • Ability to work across a number of technical systems simultaneously;
  • Ability to interpret and comply with regulatory documentation;
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and be able to deal professionally with customers including client airlines;
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively under the pressure of time constraints whilst maintaining accuracy;
  • A common sense approach to problem solving and have the ability to assess a situation effectively to achieve the best possible results;
  • Knowledge of Civil Aviation Authority regulations and requirements is desired; and
  • Sound knowledge of passenger handling systems and aircraft in-hold systems is desirable.
