Role: EIS Engineering Project Manager

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

You will be responsible for technical management and co-ordination of all entry into service activities done by participating Etihad departments and designated MRO. In addition, you will ensure that Etihad aircrafts are properly registered with the local authority (GCAA) and are customized to Etihad specification before 1st revenue flight.  Such customization must be completed within the time constrains between aircraft Transfer of Title and resumption of revenue flight and within the allocated budget.

Responsibilities

The main accountabilities are:
  • Managing the aircraft entry into service after Transfer of Title in order to ensure seamless integration into the Etihad fleet Setting-up and maintaining constant dialogue with all Etihad EIS participating departments and designated MRO to closely monitor overall program progress and identify, record and rectify risks to the program
  • Conducting regular coordination review meetings to ensure definitions are established and agreed both by Etihad EIS participating departments and designated MRO
  • Ensuring that the aircraft is configured to meet Etihad and local Airworthiness Authority requirements (e.g. Transponder Mode S programming, SELCAL)
  • Ensuring that Etihad and airworthiness requirements are fulfilled for aircraft returning to service after modification programmes
  • Developing and managing the Etihad out of service plan and liaise with all participating departments including the designated MRO
Requirements
You should have a minimum of 5 years direct job-related experience or 10 years in aircraft engineering in the field of Technical Commercial Aviation and/or, Airline Engineering is generally preferred.Aircraft and aircraft systems certifications, thorough knowledge of the airworthiness authorities regulations, strong technical and aircraft engineering background, skills in aircraft and technical related aircraft project management; experience in a multi-cultural working environment. You are required to have a Bachelor degree in the field of Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic engineering
Training & Knowledge:
Formal training in airframe and cabin equipment, project management and/or aircraft specific type courses is preferred.
Permanent education to secure up-to-date understanding of current and anticipation of future legislation needs as well as basics of financial airline management.

Strong technical experience and knowledge, interpersonal skills and social competence, team player; self-starter; strong communications skills, creative and innovative to always be one step ahead; decisive and firm, but fair in agreeing targets; analytical and modeling intelligence and strategic thinking; business intelligence and applications management; strong negotiation and presentation skills
