Boeing and ANA celebrate the first 787 Dreamliner delivery
Even the rain couldn’t dampen the celebrations today of the first 787 Dreamliner handover by Boeing to launch customer ANA during a ceremony adjacent to the factory where the new 787 aircraft was assembled. All seems well with the Dreamliner as ANA and Boeing have finally signed the formal documents completing the contractual delivery of the first 787 Dreamliner. Celebrations to mark this historic milestone begin tomorrow in Everett with a delivery ceremony. The ANA 787 will then depart for Japan on Tuesday. Read more
First of the United Continental Boeing 787 aircraft enters assembly phase
United Continental have announced that the first of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft has entered the assembly phase at Boeing’s facility in Everett, Washington. In early 2012, United will be the first North American carrier to take delivery of the aircraft, marking the first of 50 787 Dreamliner aircraft for the airline. Read more

American Airlines order up to 300 Boeing aircraft
Boeing confirmed that American Airlines has selected Boeing to provide 200 narrowbody aircraft, with options for 100 more, to accelerate its single-aisle fleet replacement.
The agreement includes 100 Next-Generation 737s, with options for an additional 40 airplanes. Boeing and American Airlines will work to finalise the agreement over the next several weeks, at which time it will be a firm order and posted to the Boeing Orders and Deliveries website. Read more
Boeing 787 arrives in Japan for ANA route checks validation
Boeing and ANA today began an important validation of their readiness for the 787 Dreamliner’s entry into service.
Throughout the coming days, ANA pilots, together with Boeing, will fly a 787 Dreamliner on actual airline routes in Japan using airline dispatch and flight rules. ANA’s mechanics and ground crews will also gain experience with the aircraft in a simulated operational environment. Read more
