Boeing’s popular passenger-inspired 737 Boeing Sky Interior has marked its 500th delivery and its second anniversary in service.
A Korean Air Next-Generation 737-900ER (Extended Range), featuring Boeing’s innovative Sky Interior, was the second Boeing aircraft to arrive at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow.
Boeing has delivered the 100th 737 aircraft outfitted with the Boeing Sky Interior to GOL Airlines – the world’s third largest low-cost 737 airline. The airplane, a Next-Generation 737-800, was also delivered with the certified performance improvement engines, marking the first airline in Latin America to receive the improved engines.
Boeing and Korean Air celebrated two milestone deliveries this month, beginning with the airline’s 30th 777, a 777-300ER (extended range) and its first Next-Generation 737-900ER (extended range). The latter marks the airline’s first 737 with the new Boeing Sky Interior.
